Nobody’s perfect, but I’m close.
Allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Yasmeen (Yas +mean, think YAS Queen but sub the queen with mean), which you probably already figured out because you've been on my #homepage. I live in #grantpark in Atlanta, GA with my husband and our fur babies. I work in automotive product strategy and started #curatedandcollected as my passion project. I love to #travel, find #unique #experiences, and share #genuineconversations over really good food with family and friends. I believe firmly in leaving people better than when you found them and always assuming the best.
I started #curatedandcollected because I want to talk, candidly, about my life experiences. Not because I think they're overly 'special' but because I do think they're #unique and would benefit others.
My niches for #curatedandcollected are #style and #wellness. I'm an #invisibleillness warrior who has #curated her entire lifestyle to support her #wellness. In curating my #wellnesslifestlye I found my #collected #style that's become rather effortless. I want to share my #experiences because if it has a positive impact on one person's life, then I'm #hereforit.
I call myself the #recoveringperfectionist because that's exactly what I am. A #hyperindependent, #highlyeducated (both in academics and in life experiences), #overachiever with #immigrantparents who definitely don't think the #americandream has changed (iykyk). You're probably asking how I went from being a #perfectionist to a #recoveringperfectionist.
Well, meet my husband, James. He's as cool as a cucumber, middle of a row, level-headed, cis-white dude that grew up in a salt-of-the-earth family. Through our meeting, dating, falling in love, buying and selling 3 homes in under 4 months (more on this later), introducing (our now inseparable) #pitbull and #cockapoo. As well as some rather large bumps in the road all during the pandemic (i.e. familial experiences, again more on that later), I managed to find myself within my relationship with him and started recovering from needing to be #intenselyperfect at everything I do. It's true what they say, when it works, it works.
This will be a fun and wild ride, James will occasionally pop in with his takes on marriage, life, and everything under the sun.
With utter honesty, wrapped in good intentions,
